Internal transfers move funds between your Eastern Bank business accounts in real time. This is the fastest and most cost-effective way to manage cash flow across your checking, savings, and money market accounts.

How to Make an Internal Transfer

  1. Log in to Eastern Business Banking
  2. Navigate to Transfers → Internal Transfers
  3. Select the source account (from)
  4. Select the destination account (to)
  5. Enter the transfer amount
  6. Choose immediate or scheduled transfer
  7. Review and confirm the transfer

Loan Payments and Draws

If your business has a loan or line of credit with Eastern Bank, you can manage payments and draws directly through Eastern Business Banking.

Making a Loan Payment

To make a payment on your Eastern Bank business loan:

  1. Navigate to Transfers → Loan Payments
  2. Select the loan account you want to pay
  3. Choose the funding account
  4. Enter the payment amount (regular payment or additional principal)
  5. Select the payment date
  6. Confirm and submit

Taking a Loan Draw

If you have a business line of credit, you can draw funds directly to your checking account:

  1. Navigate to Transfers → Loan Draws
  2. Select your line of credit account
  3. Choose the destination checking account
  4. Enter the draw amount (up to available credit)
  5. Confirm the transaction

Loan draws are typically available immediately in your checking account, subject to your credit availability and any draw restrictions on your line of credit agreement.

Can I schedule recurring transfers?
Yes, Eastern Business Banking supports scheduled and recurring transfers for internal transfers, ACH, and loan payments. You can set up weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or custom schedules.
What information do I need for a wire transfer?
For domestic wires, you need the recipient's name, bank routing number, and account number. For international wires, you need the SWIFT/BIC code, IBAN or account number, beneficiary name and address, and bank name and address.
Can I cancel a transfer after it's submitted?
Internal transfers are immediate and cannot be cancelled. ACH transfers can be cancelled before the cut-off time on the processing date. Wire transfers are irrevocable once processed. Contact the Business Service Team at 1-800-333-8000 immediately if you need to cancel a transfer.
